Here are the times from our day at Norwell.
From the morning - both the Skidpan at which we drove a new RS Clio on the wet concrete along a track delineated by pairs of cones - and the so called 'Clio Circuit' where we drove a new 2WD Koleos along the narrow track lined with (lots of) cones.
All great fun!
Then in the afternoon we were able to use our own cars on the track.
Timing was done by volunteers from the RCCQ and the lists here have been collated by Phil.

I point out that even though the car for the Clio Circuit is listed as Clio 197 - it was in fact a Koleos. I reckon that it would have been a lot easier in the nimble RSClio than the tall and soft Koleos!!

RSAE 2010 Day Run 10th July
A beautiful morning at the Gold Coast for the official photo shoot and start of the day run.
We were extremely pleased with the attendance. As you see there are some wild Renaults and a good selection of the mainstream models too.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and will leave us all with many great memories.
But just to help us a bit - see the Galleries pages on the left side of the blog !!

Macintosh Island - start of day run
This beautiful place is where Gold Coast Indy has been headquartered.
Even after having spectated some of those events it is difficult to reconcile the tranquil surroundings there with the frantic crowded race weekends. We weren't even aware this place existed - the landscape is so totally differentThis is how the pits looks with a few Renaults.
We plan to fill it up with your cars for the photo shoot.

Welcome to the blog!
The header photo depicts the photo shoot from the inaugural RSAE held in 2005. The cars were arranged artistically during the morning tea break of the spectacular Saturday day run.
The beautiful location we used in 2005 was The Spit at Somerset Dam, west of Brisbane. It would be impossible to return for a photo session this year because after a summer of plentiful rains we would be 10 metres under water!!
